Shakespeare in the Park - Central Park

Shakespeare in the Park is New York City's summer stock theater, but this being New York you can always count on a first-rate drama "under the stars".

The program is always a hit with New Yorkers and visitors alike. Besides the opportunity of seeing great performances, the best part of this popular theater program is - it's always free!

Long lines for the free tickets are a summer tradition near the Great Lawn of Central Park, especially when megawatt Hollywood actors are in the cast, which in the past have included such stars as Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, and Kevin Kline, all of whom have made their mark at the Delacorte Theatre in recent years.

For each night's performance, there's a limit of two tickets per person. The tickets reserve your seat, so you don't need to wait in line once you have them. But get there early - tickets go fast!
