    New York Cocktails ->Brooklyn

     

    Brooklyn cocktail

    Although this recipe calls for old-fashioned bitters, it's only Torani Amer (imported orange bitters) that makes for an authentic Brooklyn cocktail.

    Today, few establishments actually stock the secret ingredient of this classic New York drink, which originated in Brooklyn's grand St. George Hotel....

     

    Ingredients:

    2 ounces rye 1 dash marachino liquer
    1/2 to 1 ounce dry vermouth 1 dash bitters

     

    How to Make It:

    Fill a large mixing glass with ice.

    Add all ingredients and stir vigourously.

    Strain into a cocktail glass.
