New
York Cocktails ->
Mr. Manhattan
This innocent looking libation
is said to have been first invented during Prohibition,
when Roaring 20's cocktails were disguised as innocent looking
soda drinks or fruit juice.
This one calls for orange juice,
gin, and a sprinkle of mint leaves which makes the Mr. Manhattan
a good summer bracer ...
Ingredients:
3 ounces dry gin |
4 crushed mint leaves |
4 dashes orange juice |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 dash lemon juice |
|
How to Make It:
Fill a large mixing glass with
ice.
Add ingredients, shake vigourously
and serve on the rocks.
